Senior Copywriter

Job Summary:

Passionate and experienced? A mastery of social, video and direct-mail? Able to sell an idea internally and to the client? Then we should talk. The Designory is looking for a skilled wordsmith familiar with all channels — digital, social, print, content and video. You should be an insightful storyteller who enjoys collaborating with art directors and designers to bring original creative thinking to life in concepts, headlines, scripts and copy across a variety of clients and industries.   • Collaborate with strategists, art directors, developers, copywriters and designers in all aspects of the creative and production process
  • Successfully tackle campaigns that may include digital, social, video and print
  • Create original concepts and flawless executions
  • Enjoy working in a high-energy, strong-pace environment
  • Possess a strong command of the English language and the ability to proof your own work 
  • Present creative ideas with clarity and confidence
  • Manage workloads and utilize time management skills
  • Keeps current on trends, be they digital or experiential
  • Bring an easy-going, friendly demeanor to a tight-knit work team



  • 6- to 8-years experience in an agency environment
  • Strong conceptual abilities 
  • Excellent communications skills — written and in-person
  • Experience with technical writing could be considered a plus
  • Self-directed, motivated and resourceful
  • BA in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
  • Familiarity with Word and Google Docs
  • Must be experienced and comfortable using a Macintosh computer and OS
  • This role is on-site in our Downtown Chicago office
